Varsity Volleyball fall in 4 to PAC Champs

The Varsity volleyball team was narrowly defeated by defending PAC champs Lutheran West in a close four set battle.  Scores were 25-19, 25-19, 18-25, and 26-24. Firelands Varsity Volleyball falls to Vermilion 0-3

Firelands started the season with a tough loss to Vermilion, losing 17-25, 19-25, and 15-25. Stat leaders for the Falcons include:  McKenna Turton with two aces and eight digs and Taylor Kenska with two blocks. Firelands plays again on Tuesday 8/29 at home against Lutheran West.

Varsity Volleyball Preview this Friday

Come support Firelands Volleyball at the Dave Dorinski Preview at Avon Lake High School this Friday, August 11th. Firelands will face Midview at 7 pm in two sets to 21. Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for students, and free for seniors.

Its that time of year again and we here in Firelands Athletics are excited to get OHSAA tournament action off and running in Volleyball, Cross Country, Girls Soccer and Boys Soccer.  Here is all the information that you will need to keep pace with the fast moving Falcons. The freshman girls volleyball team that competed this past Saturday in the Freshman PAC Tournament held at Keystone High School made the Falcons proud by brining home the Championship.  What a great end to a great season in which the girls battled week to week to finish undefeated this year. Oh, what a Senior Night!

The Lady Falcons Volleyball team battled back after losing the first 2 sets against Wellington on Tuesday night to defeat their PAC Stars division foes 3-2 in what is to be a very memorable senior night at FHS. McKenna Turton lead the Falcons with 11 aces on the night, while Alaina Kempf had 20 assists.
