The girls soccer team played rivals, Vermilion, on Saturday night. After a hard fought battle, they came away with the win and the Stillman Cup. Vermilion took a 2-0 lead at the half, but the Falcons came out and controlled the second half. Senior, Lexi McCrary, dribbled her way past the Vermilion defense to find the back of the net twice tying up the game. Sophomore, Julia Douzos, put the nail in the coffin by scoring on a penalty kick. Keeper, Peyton Phillips had four saves for the night behind a stellar defense consisting of Isabel Solowiej, Emma McDevitt, Andria Mains and Alessandra Davis. Rylee Maggard, Audrey Lyons, Sammie Novak, Jordan Janosik, Alaina Becker, Dylan Koba-Nelson, Gracie Ransom, and Rebekah Selent each played well and assisted in the victory. The team plays at Brookside on Wednesday.
