Falcons News · Falcon Cheer takes home inaugural LC8 Showcase Championship

The Firelands cheerleaders competed at the LC8 Cheer Competition on Saturday, March 13th. The competition took place at Keystone High School and there were 5 teams from our conference that competed. We are very proud to announce that our athletes took first place! Their hard-work and dedication to the sport allowed them to be the first ever champions of the annual LC8 cheerleading competition. Their routine consisted of a cheer, dance, jumps and tumbling. They also had two girls take home awards for best jumps. Macey Taddeo won the award for best double touch and Zadie Grude won the award for best pike. We would also like to thank Traditional Marble and Granite for donating plaques to the competition!

The girls that participated include: Amelia Bacsi, Alexandria Boetticher, Caley Bomback, Brianna Bonomolo, Renee Clippinger, Zadie Grude, Madisyn Jessel, Marley Klekota, Natalie Novak, Jadeyn Ramsey, Lauren Soltis, Mayce Stanley, KaraLynn Sweinhagen, Macey Taddeo and Jorja Weber.

The cheerleading program is overseen by Coach Gasparini. “I am so proud of the FHS Cheerleaders for many reasons. They put in countless hours practicing their routine and it definitely showed this weekend! They rocked the competition floor and left it all on the mat. Not only did they win first place, but they also represented Firelands Local Schools with dignity and respect!”
