FLSD Students Promote Equality

Thanks to a project spearheaded by senior Caden Bomback, students at Firelands High School are proudly making a stand for racial equality.

Bomback took an idea to Athletic Director Stillman regarding the need to demonstrate equality for all students. Together they designed a tee-shirt they felt would send a great message throughout the community. Being part of TLC (Teen Leadership Corps), Bomback was able to work with advisor, Mr. O’Rourke, to have the project become a fundraiser that will support the Boys and Girls Club of Lorain County.

The project has been very successful! The JV and Varsity Girls Basketball team have purchased the shirts and they used them as warm ups! The first round of shirts that were purchased are almost sold out and a second round of shirts will be ordered soon. If you are interested in ordering a shirt please contact Caden Bomback or AD Stillman. The shirts are $15 each and will take approximately 2 weeks once the order has been placed. Checks can be made out to Firelands Local Schools.

We appreciate your support with this student led project!
