Game Recap

Today the girls soccer team traveled to Cardinal and finished their regular season with a 7-0 win. The Falcons first three goals were off of corner kicks. First, Peyton Phillips put one in with her head from a Rachel Jackson kick. Next, Leah Songer flicked in the ball on another Jackson corner. Then, Lexi McCrary found the back of the net on a Phillips corner. Also, scoring for the Falcons were Dylan Koba-Nelson, Songer with a second goal, Alyssa Danicki and Savannah Klingman. These were Danicki and Klingman’s first high school goals. Assisting those goals were Julia Douzos, Danicki, Kaylee Boggs, and McCrary. Macey Butchko had three saves to pick up the fifth shutout of the season. Helping to keep the shutout were Alessandra Davis, Andria Mains, Savannah Klingman, Emma McDevitt, Rachel Taddeo, Brianna Toledo, Kaylee Boggs and Lilly Laughrey. Helping to control the midfield were Julia Douzos, Rachel Jackson, Jordan Janosik, Audrey Lyons, Peyton Phillips, Alyssa Danicki, and Alaina Becker. Keeping the pressure on the other team were Leah Songer, Lexi McCrary, Dylan Koba-Nelson, Maddy Lyons and Alex Trendle. The girls open tournament play this Wednesday, away against Rocky River, at 7:00.
