Congratulations to freshman Payton Burgdorf, who on Saturday became the first Firelands wrestler in over 20 years to qualify for the state tournament! He will wrestle this Thursday in Columbus for a chance to become the first Firelands wrestler to place at the state level in 57 years!
Payton will enter the Sate tournament after finishing 2nd at 106lbs at the District Tournament in Mansfield this past Saturday. Click on the link below to follow Payton through the bracket:

Payton has been working hard for this opportunity for a long time. He started wrestling in 4th grade and set a goal to wrestle at the state level long ago. His hard work and determination has made this dream a reality and we are so proud of him!
